چکیده
Some of the more recent methods to produce biodiesel are based on heterogeneous catalysis, which has advantage easy separation catalyst from final product. In this paper, transesterification rapeseed oil with methanol is studied. The aim work was investigate possibilities using natural catalysts in synthesis and determine optimal conditions for process. After evaluation catalytic effectiveness rocks containing calcium magnesium carbonates, it determined that dolomite most effective synthesis. preparation following: heating at 850 °C 5 h. optimized by application response surface methodology. Optimal production methyl esters as molar ratio 11.94:1, reaction temperature 64 °C, content 6 wt%, time

متن کاملBiodiesel Production from Chlorella protothecoides Oil by Microwave-Assisted Transesterification.
In this study, biodiesel production from microalgal oil by microwave-assisted transesterification was carried out to investigate its efficiency. Transesterification reactions were performed by using Chlorella protothecoides oil as feedstock, methanol, and potassium hydroxide as the catalyst. Methanol:oil ratio, reaction time and catalyst:oil ratio were investigated as process parameters affecte...
متن کاملBiodiesel production from neem oil using two step transesterification
Currently, most of the biodiesel is produced from the edible/refined type oil using methanol and alkaline catalyst. However, large amount of non-edible type oils and fats are available in our country. In this study, crude neem oil is used as alternative fuel for biodiesel production. The difficulty with alkaline transesterification of these oils have contained large amounts of free fatty acids ...
متن کاملEnzymatic transesterification for biodiesel production.
Biodiesel consists monoalkyl esters of long chain fatty acids. It is produced from vegetable oils or fats either by chemical transesterification or by lipase-catalyzed transesterification with methanol or ethanol. Biodiesel is a green fuel and can be used as a blend with diesel or alone. Either way, it does not require any modification in engine design or storage facilities. The enzymatic proce...
